About Us

Choppards Mission is run by a group of volunteers under the name Choppards Community Association. 

The building is owned by the Church of England Diocese of Leeds and administered by the Holy Trinity Church in Holmfirth. 

Although Choppards Mission has been an important part of our valley and community for over 180 years and has been supported for a very long time by members of the community, the formal role taken by the Community Association is an exciting recent development. We are currently working to develop, maintain and promote this much-loved heritage building and surrounding area. Most importantly we aim to develop an affordable, fit-for-purpose and well-used community space. 

The Diocese and, in particular, the Holy Trinity Church, Holmfirth, remain our valued partners.
